Sew a Drawstring Backpack

Ready to combine the skills you’ve learned? In this workshop students will create a functional drawstring backpack, bringing together several sewing techniques.

This project introduces more advanced construction while still being achievable in a two-hour class.

Students will learn:
• Creating drawstring channels
• Cord installation
• Reinforcing stress points
• Structured bag construction

By the end of the workshop, students will leave with a fully functional drawstring backpack and expanded sewing confidence.

Patterns and instructional guides are included for future projects.
